Matthew holds an M.A. in Education from the Stanford University Graduate School of Education, where he studied the teaching of English. He also holds a California secondary English Clear Credential and currently teaches high school English in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to pursuing a career in American public education, Matthew taught literature for three years at Shenzhen Middle School, one of China's premiere public high schools. Since 2015, he has been working with international schools on effective faculty recruitment and professional development programs for school leaders.

Originally from Taiwan, Judy has managed her own U.S. accounting firm for over 30 years. Leveraging her knowledge of finance and the concerns of Asian-American parents, she has been serving the Rowland Unified School district as a board member for over 10 years. She is an expert in the budgeting and management of K-12 schools as standalone entities and their role within larger school districts. Fluent in Mandarin and English, Judy has amplified the voice of the Chinese-American community in southern California.
